Experience as an Expert

 

I provide 50 – 60 CPR/FPR compliant and advisory residential property valuation reports per annum. These include current market , retrospective and diminution-in-value reports for all purposes. I have valued several high value property portfolios and residential investments.

 

I regularly audit expert reports on behalf of legal Clients and provide training to Chartered Surveyors acting as Experts. I have spoken at several Conferences, written professional articles relating to the role and duties of an Expert and I am an active Member of the Expert Witness Institute.

 

I have a detailed working knowledge of the Civil and Family Procedure Rules and all relevant RICS Guidance Notes, Practice Statements, Information Papers and the RICS Valuation Standards (Red Book).

 

I regularly attend the meeting of Experts and prepare joint statements. I have given evidence in the High Court and the County Courts on 4 occassions.

 

I am Managing Director of Expert Surveyors Ltd (ESG), a leading national provider of expert property valuation reports to Solicitors and Insurers for residential and commercial property, delivered via our network of over 200 Chartered Surveyors.

Career history

 

I qualified in 1986 and I have subsequently worked as a residential Chartered Surveyor in the local market. I formed my own Practice in 1992 and Expert Surveyors Ltd (ESG) in 2009.
